“See that sign, it says Believe Jesus has Eternal Life.”

Abba Father is in Cambodia; he’s always been here.

Yes, maybe the devil has had what appears to be a “stronghold” here.
Yes, it is a place of immense lust, a place where:

“In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises. He boasts of the cravings of his heart, he blesses the greedy and reviles the LORD. In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God…. He lies in wait like a lion in cover; he lies in wait to catch the helpless, he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net…”
Psalm 10

Yes. This makes my heart hurt and anger flare up inside me.

Today God blessed us with an incredible gift: this sign, that he placed across the road just for us, years before we even arrived.

Before we arrived he sanctified this street for his purposes. It has always been here, waiting for us to arrive, all the while living out its purpose of blessing others who previously needed it.

We just stepped outside, to anoint the gate painted green with matching barbed wire covering the top. Waving to the neighbors, Elise stopped and read a sign she had never been able to understand before.

My heart jumped; Jesus was very distinctly
HERE.
RIGHT NOW
&
ALWAYS.

“The LORD is King for ever and ever; the nations will perish from his land. You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more.” Psalm 10

Before the Vietnam War
Before Pol Pot
Before I existed

He’s always known that I was created to come here at precisely this time for His purposes.

Side Note: This is our beatiful home sweet home that the four girls who have been here for a year gave to us. It is an amazing gift, and we are incredibly thankful for both them (otherwise we would have had NO idea what the sign said!) and this home we are able to use.

Blessings.

  1. Praying God’s blessings on your beautiful new home. Isn’t it amazing that God knew you would be coming and posted that very special message for you. I think about the joy I receive from doing special things for my children and I can just envision the smile on His face as you discovered this special gift He prepared in advance for your team.
    Warms my heart.

  2. Amen Heather, this is a deep truth to recognize as we go to the nations, God is there, working and loving his children, even before we come.

    Thank you for your testimony.

    Abundant blessings and deeper revelations!
